Skyrim save game script cleaner incompatibility

If you removed scripted mods from ongoing game, then you will have to start a new game.įor fixing bugs, you need the USLEEP patch (if you have all 3 DLCs), or the individual patches if you do not have all 3 DLCs (these individual patches are no longer supported, however). Make sure you have backups for both savename.ess and savename.skse (if its installed).

This is optional, and not compatible with all mods. That tool cleans obsolete entries and orphaned scripts from the game, but script data will remain in the save file, causing Papryus to constantly check it and creating errors. Click 'FixScriptInstances', it removes all orphan script instances. This includes work done with Save Script Cleaner. There is no such thing as a clean save, when mod is removed. While the below specifically refers to cleaning saves after removing mods, it pretty much generally applies to cleaning saves in general. It is not recomended to use it unless you really know what you are doing, and even then it may not be totally effective.
